Is it just me?

Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of famous people die on Christmas day? I was thinking back over the last couple decades and it seems like there are always these announcements that some famous actor, politician, or writer passed away around Christmas. I was reading USA Today this morning and they had several notable people who passed on.

Is it just me or is everyone else tired of the little wires that secure our children's toys in their boxes? Seriously, with three kids, my fingers are a little sore from untwisting them.

Is it just me or has Christmas become more about sugar than gifts for children? I don't think my 22 month old has eaten anything sustainable since Monday. We couldn't get him to open his gifts and couldn't keep him away from the cookies.

Is it just me or is your Christmas season too busy when you think taking the kids to Disneyland is more relaxing than going to another party? I hit a wall last night around 5pm and am feeling it this morning. Coffee is having minimal effect. I am looking forward to getting in the car and driving for several hours though. Sounds weird but a captive environment is just what the doctor ordered.

  1. Hi
Just to add to the ”tradition” i’ve just read that Eartha Kitt died yesterday too!!
I will eagerly second you on the sore fingers from kids toy packaging and cookies! As for getting busier… its more like madness than busy!
Happy New Year to you and yours
