There are only 10 days left until the start of The Village Chapel! To say that life is hectic is an understatement. Most mornings start at 5:30am with devotions and church work, then I am off to work at CCSM, then usually home for some meeting or study with The Village Chapel. Throw on top of that a funeral for Officer Chris Kies at Lompoc PD where I am a chaplain at and it makes for some long days.
Today is my last day in the office at CCSM. Everyone keeps asking me if I am sentimental and to tell you the truth I haven’t had the time to think about it. There is so much swirling around in my already hyper-active mind that there wasn’t any room left to do so. When I stop to think I am so grateful for the time I had here. I learned so much and grew in my faith, leadership, and confidence.
Next week is my first week full time with The Village Chapel. I am looking forward to getting back into the groove of studying and preaching. It will be weird being on my own all by myself but in a way I am looking forward to the new challenge.
I am really looking forward to our first service Sunday January 28th at The White Oak Hotel. In reality it is not about the place you meet but with the people you minister with. I love the people God has given us. Hopefully we will see you there.
