Getting Behind a Mission

This thursday we have our first leadership training for The Village Chapel. We are going to lay the foundation for our Children’s ministry, Evangelism team, and for the set-up crew. Being in a portable setting these teams are critical to putting our best foot forward. What excites me is that we have a group of people who are so ready to jump in an be a part of what God is doing. So many people have come up to me asking how they can get involved or offering ideas on how to do ministry. It pumps me up.

These people have gotten a hold of the mission that is in front of us. In every venture you have those people who are first responders who want to get behind some new and risky. They either have a vested interest in the area or are just ready for a challenge. Many of these people are getting involved for the very first time in the workings of the church. That gets me pumped up. Their energy is producing a momentum that is contagious. I can’t wait to do ministry with this group. I am looking forward to Thursday night. Hope to see you there.
